Mahi Mahi Wall Art 10"x19" MP33
This Maui Mahi Mahi design also known as “Dorado or Dolphin Fish” was created in 2016 and has been acquired by clients nationally and internationally since its debut. My elegant hand sculpted wall art is made on the island of Maui, Hawaii, in my studio “Ceramic Designs by Albert”. The Panel piece is titled "Maui Mahi Mahi" and the design is a relief design giving it a distinctive 3D appearance.
The glaze finish is the highest quality cone 5 glazes we can obtain in the USA, so the weather will not affect the shine/luster, or the brilliant hues, and it’s nontoxic. This piece has a beautiful array of five plus mixed glaze colors allowing for additional colors to come forth during the firing that allow each piece to be distinctive in its own remarkable way. The actual clay body consists of porcelain and stoneware clay giving it durability yet allowing the glazes shine to excel in its spectacular hues. This piece can be used indoors or outdoors, in cold or hot climates. To support the wall art we attach a heavy gauge wire hook to the back so you can easily hang it on the wall as wall art, however if you’re planning to tile the Mahi as a kitchen backsplash or use the tile as bathroom and pool tile no hook is attached.
Approximate Measurements: 10”x20" weight is 6 lbs. A side note; the Mahi is a very plentiful game fish in the Hawaiian ocean, Mahi-mahi means strong strong in Hawaiian. The dissimilarities between the males and females are apparent in the contour of the head. The Mahi-mahi exhibits amazingly vibrant colors fluctuating from golden, yellow, green, cyan, aqua, translucent silvery blue. Size various from 10-75 pounds. Mahi-mahi is an incredibly dynamic fish that has a special taste regardless how you prepare it; with minimal ingredients to a vast array of ingredients.
